UT Home & Education Secretary Mr. Krishna Mohan has appealed the students to take active part in sports and other educational co-curricular activities for their all round personality development.
Mr. Krishna Mohan was speaking here today on the occasion of inaugural ceremony of Annual Sports Meet of Sh Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Sector-26. He said that qualities of team spirit, discipline, tolerance and leadership would be inculcated in students only through sports and allied activities. He inaugurated the Meet by releasing colorful balloons in the air. Mrs Agamjot Kaur Mann, Principal of the school threw the light on school’s contribution in the fields of Education, Sports. Science, Cultural & other activities.
She informed that the school’s Volleyball team was state Champion of the year and a science project prepared by the school students was awarded first position in a Regional Science Exhibition organized in Jalandhar. Sh. Gurdev Singh Brar, (Retd. lAS) gave away the prizes to the winners of Sports Meet. Apart from the different sports competitions, the drills, which included the impressive March Past, Spanish Dance and an Umbrella Dance, were the center of attraction for viewers in the Sports Meet.
